course description : publication and book design

Are you a design or illustration student looking for the perfect inspiring place to work on a project that will give a superior shot in the arm to your portfolio? A great conversation starter for that upcoming interview?
Or are you simply a creative person, in need of time, space, and unique inspiration to complete a fulfilling personal project?
Come to France this summer, and experience your creativity in a space created just for you! Take a month to produce that perfect design piece.
Learn to create your own publication or design piece using InDesign,
Photoshop and/or Illustrator.  You will be guided through the process of designing your project from start to finish.
Enjoy personal instruction that offers a diversity of opportunity for design and illustration. Create a book of your own, or a beautiful design piece
highlighting something from your visit.  It can be a children’s picture book of French fables that you design and illustrate yourself; a mock magazine design highlighting French wines; a book of photography featuring your own shots of the French landscape that surrounds you. Or maybe you simply create your own professional quality travel diary to enjoy for yourself.

The class may include a tour of a local design or illustration studio.
Experience with the above computer programs is desired, but not required.
